My One25 Miles

It’s back! This May, we’re asking you to complete 125 miles for One25 in a challenge as unique as you are. Walk, run, cycle or swim the distance, whenever and wherever you want. And raise what you can to help women step into freedom.

You set the pace and the place!

Whether you step it daily, run it in chunks or pedal it in a weekend anyone can do My One25 Miles! Whatever your fitness level or time constraints, make every step count as you take on a challenge to change a life. Track your mileage as you go and ask friends and family to sponsor you along the way. It’s free to take part and you’ll receive our support and fundraising advice throughout.

By completing My One25 Miles, you’ll be helping vulnerable women on their journey towards safer lives, away from the streets.

This challenge is open to everyone so why not spread it across your school, your workplace, your friends, family and community! Set your sights on raising £125 (or more) for One25 – with your determination and our expertise we know you can do it!

Why take part

There are currently around 150 women trapped in street sex work in Bristol. They are some of our city’s most vulnerable women, with complex emotional and physical needs. By taking part in My One25 Miles, you can help women break free from lives of poverty, addiction and violence, towards safer and fulfilling lives.

  • £120 can make sure we meet women where they need help, funding a Freephone service to our lifeline outreach van for 2 months
  • £400 can give emergency help to 2 women fleeing abuse from a partner, funding casework support for food, clothes and shelter to help them restart their lives.
  • £750 can give hungry women vital nourishment, funding the drop-in meals for a whole month

Asking people for donations can be scary at first, but don’t worry! We’ve got plenty of ideas that will build your confidence and make it much easier (and enjoyable) than you ever thought possible! Pedal it in a weekend

Brand new for 2019, you can take part in the One25 Cider Rider. With two beautiful one-day bike rides starting and finishing in the historic mediaeval city of Wells, it allows you to complete the entire challenge in one weekend on the 18 and 19 May. Who can take part?

This challenge is for everyone of any ability to complete your challenge in your own way.

How can I complete My One25 Miles?

Take a long hike every Sunday, or do 4 miles every day – it really is up to you. You can tailor your mileage target or the timeframe of your challenge to make it perfect for your ability and lifestyle. For a fun, communal way to cover the miles in just one weekend you can take part in the One25 Cider Rider

When can I complete My One25 Miles?

Anytime from 1 May 2019

Can I take part as a team?

Yes! By taking part as a team you can set a bespoke target, and split the mileage between members to complete. Let us know who is in your team so we can cheer you all on!
