We’ve seen more women on our outreach van in the first half of this year than in the whole of the last year. Women continue to face complex challenges including a lack of secure housing and rising levels of poverty and violence.
Every day we see women rebuilding their confidence and their lives after multiple experiences of trauma. In the 30 years since One25 was founded, more support services have come to understand the impact that trauma can have. Society seems less tolerant of rape myths – like the idea that street sex workers are ‘asking for trouble’.
"Don’t think each step isn’t part of a journey […]

For me it’s been a long, slow road to get the point where I can say that I’m happy in myself."
Healing isn’t something you can rush. The women we meet need specialist support and patient campaigning to change the systems that aren’t working for them.
They deserve to be safe, loved and thriving.
Will you take action today and help us bring that world closer to reality?
£20 could provide food and drinks for women on our outreach van for a weekend.
£65 could help a woman begin treatment for addiction, supported by our caseworkers and health professionals.
"I wouldn't have my flat without being supported when I was homeless. One25 has helped me throughout my addiction and what goes with it. They let me take the time I needed."
