Between 3rd and 10th December, your donation to One25 can be doubled, creating twice the impact. You could give a woman a safe place to sleep, a hot meal or a specialist advocate to help her tackle the challenges she’s facing.
Through the Big Give Christmas Challenge we have the chance to raise £100,000 – but this will only be possible with your help!
The funds will be used across our services to reach and support women in crisis – but to give you an idea of what £100,000 means to us: it could deliver our night outreach service for almost five months. For the rest of the winter and beyond.
The outreach van, like all our services, is in high demand. In the last two years we’ve seen a 76% rise in women accessing the van for help while street sex-working.
Most are facing huge obstacles: last year 72% of women we supported experienced homelessness. 98% were living with addiction. Street sex-working is one of few options available to meet their basic needs.
But behind these numbers are women’s lives. Women with histories and hopes for the future. Survivors. Like everyone else, they deserve safety, choice and respect.
"[One25] let me take the time I needed and were there when I was ready to access help around domestic violence with my ex-partner. I can’t explain how it felt to finally open up and to say ‘I’m not ok’."
- Sofia
Through our outreach, health hub and casework services we provide tailored support for each woman: from help accessing healthcare to support with housing.
"If I could meet the girl I was twenty years ago […] and told her that I would be where I am now, I would never have quite believed her."
- Anne
Can you help us be there for the women who are still on the streets this Christmas?
Thanks to the generosity of our Big Give supporters – who are providing the funds that will double your donations – this is the first year we have the chance to raise £100,000.
This year, every pound will make a difference for the women who courageously come to One25 for help:
£30 will become £60 – which could provide casework support to two women as they report an experience of violence.
£125 will become £250 – which could pay for our Emergency Accommodation Fund for two months, giving women safety for the night.
If you have other questions please get in touch! Call 0117 909 8832 and ask for Gabby or Rachel or e-mail communications@one25.org.uk and one of our team will get back to you.
We’re taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, an annual campaign that offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to double their donations at no extra cost!
One25 has access to a ‘match pot’ of funding worth £50,000. When you donate to One25 through The Big Give website, your donation will be matched by funds in the pot, doubling its value to One25.
Donations can be doubled between 12 midday on Tuesday 3 December and 12 midday on Tuesday 10 December 2024, while there are funds in the match pot.
Please note: The Big Give will only match donations made via their website.
Donations can be made via the Big Give website using a credit card, debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
Donations of £500 can be made by BACS transfer. More information is available here.
You can continue to donate to One25 by cheque or other offline methods but unfortunately these donations won’t be matched.
Absolutely! Please make sure you don’t tick the Gift Aid box on the donation page though: even if you are a UK taxpayer, One25 cannot claim Gift Aid on donations that you have collected from other people.
Please get in touch with Lu to let us know you’re planning to send us your fundraising in this way.
When making a donation via the Big Give website, you have the opportunity to give an optional tip to The Big Give. The tip will go towards the costs of running the Big Give, such as providing the website service, and will be paid to The Big Give, not One25. Leaving a tip is voluntary and you can opt not to.
To remove the tip, choose the ‘Other’ option and type £0.
