Between 3rd and 10th December, donations to One25 could be doubled through the Big Give Christmas Challenge – and our generous community raised an amazing £100,457!
The money raised will fund our three services – outreach, health hub and casework – and make sure women who are street sex-working in Bristol can access the help they need.
To give you an idea of what £100,000 means to us: it could deliver our night outreach service for almost five months. For the rest of the winter and beyond.
Although donations can no longer be doubled, all gifts to One25 are gratefully received and will help us continue our services for women in 2025.
The outreach van, like all our services, is in high demand. In the last two years we’ve seen a 76% rise in women accessing the van for help while street sex-working.
Most are facing huge obstacles: last year 72% of women we supported experienced homelessness. 98% were living with addiction. Street sex-working is one of few options available to meet their basic needs.
But behind these numbers are women’s lives. Women with histories and hopes for the future. Survivors. Like everyone else, they deserve safety, choice and respect.
"[One25] let me take the time I needed and were there when I was ready to access help around domestic violence with my ex-partner. I can’t explain how it felt to finally open up and to say ‘I’m not ok’."
- Sofia
Through our outreach, health hub and casework services we provide tailored support for each woman: from help accessing healthcare to support with housing.
"If I could meet the girl I was twenty years ago […] and told her that I would be where I am now, I would never have quite believed her."
- Anne
Thanks to the generosity of our Big Give supporters – who provided the funds to double donations – this is the first year we had the chance to raise £100,000.
Every pound raised will make a difference for the women who courageously come to One25 for help:
£30 could provide casework support to a woman reporting an experience of violence.
£125 could pay for our Emergency Accommodation Fund for a month, giving women safety for the night.
