Moira works with women at One25 who experience domestic and sexual violence. Unfortunately the proportion of the women that we work with that experience these forms of violence is extremely high. This makes Moira’s role completely indispensable. I sat down with Moira to find out what exactly her job involves:
Carrie had recently fled to Bristol to escape her violent boyfriend and to her terror he’d tracked her down. Thankfully he was arrested, but this meant that Carrie lost her emergency housing as she was deemed ‘out of danger’ and wasn’t from Bristol. Carrie was pregnant, scared and about to be homeless, with no one to turn to.
