From jumping out of a plane to ceilidh dancing, people have done all sorts of weird and wonderful things over the years to support the work we do at One25. We want to share their achievements with you and celebrate their awesomeness. Here are just a few of the shiniest stars in the fundraising sky…
For a lot of the women we work with, their involvement with the criminal justice system is routine and they can often weather a spell in prison. But without support at the end of a sentence their lives can become very chaotic again straight away.
“The value of One25 is often unquantifiable; most of the women haven’t ever had someone who cares unconditionally.”
In 2007 Baroness Corston’s report proposed a radical reshaping of women’s prisons. Ten years on, national charity Women in Prison has published a review and it’s worrying how far we still need to go.
