October has been a busy month for fundraising at One25!
Our record-breaking Sleep Out took place on Friday 8 October. Late in the evening, our brave team of 15 fundraisers hunkered down and slept out on the grounds of St Stephens Church. They swapped comfort for concrete, sleeping out for just one night so that one day no woman will have to. Team One25 were absolutely incredible, delivering the most successful Sleep Out event in our history – fundraising over £19,000!
When reflecting on the experience, here’s what a few of them had to say:
“I had a cry on the way home, I was a bit overwhelmed and felt guilty that I was going home to a hot shower”
“It was an incredible experience to be part of, would definitely recommend for others to take part and will be doing it again!”
Our heartfelt congrats goes out to every one of them for their efforts and for making such an impact for women experiencing so many hardships in our city. See you again next year! 😉
