Will you stand with women who are living with the long-term impact of trauma?

They are part of our community. They deserve safety and respect.
When you sign our statement of solidarity, you will receive an e-mail full of practical ways you can put your support into action, as well as a link to download our social media solidarity pack, which you can share far and wide!
You will also receive regular e-mail updates about what’s happening at One25: stories from the women we support, news, and details of forthcoming events and fundraising experiences. You can change how you hear from us at any time: full details of how we use and protect the information we hold about you can be found here.
When your support meets women’s courage, amazing things can happen…
"You can never forget your trauma. You can’t wipe it out or stop it […] I’m finding peace with who I was and who I am now. And I can now say I am proud of myself."
- A woman’s story (2025)
For many women, it’s a choice made from few options. It’s about survival.
The women we meet on the streets have all experienced trauma. Childhood abuse, domestic violence, homelessness: things no one should have to endure.
Most are using drugs and/or alcohol to block out the pain.
Women often tell us they feel judged, or they are simply ignored. They are robbed and attacked by people who see them as ‘easy targets’: victims who won’t be believed.
Support services can be hard to access, so they frequently go without healthcare and other support that most of us take for granted.
But in the face of it all, they are brave and resilient.
With the right support, healing is possible. For 30 years we’ve helped women regain independence and stability, so they no longer need to rely on street sex work to survive.
Healing takes time but courageous women are living safer, healthier lives. Last year Clare reflected on her journey and told us: “I always thought that drugs and that life would haunt me forever; my life has flourished since having One25 in it.”
Support services and policymakers need to hear women’s experiences so they can create services that are truly accessible to everyone – from healthcare to housing.
With your help, we can highlight the needs of Bristol’s hidden women, helping women who are in crisis today and breaking down barriers for women in the future.
"I don't have to pretend or hide anymore.

I do have a voice and it is okay to speak."
"It's been such a long time since I've felt heard, loved, valued and supported."
