Valentine’s Day can be lonely for anybody but especially for those who may be estranged from friends, family and loved ones and who are struggling with addictions. Here at One25 we want every woman who walks through our door to know they are loved, but we want them to feel ‘extra specially’ loved today.

It’s our last drop-in before Valentine’s Day and the whole afternoon is themed around friendship, unconditional love and promoting togetherness. This is our chance to pamper the women and have fun!

The drop-in has been decorated with hearts and flowers to mark the occasion and create a special atmosphere. Every woman who calls in today will be given a yellow rose to take away which signifies friendship, as well as some posh chocolates. Throughout the afternoon we’ll be decorating cupcakes and cookies together whilst listening to cheesy songs. We’ll also be inviting each woman to write on our ‘message board of love’ which can be a powerful way of allowing her to express herself and feel she’s been heard.

If you’ve got an encouraging message for the women today we’d love to hear from you and will add it to the board for them to see next week in drop-in. Please email louise@one25.org.uk or write it on our facebook or twitter pages (@One25Charity). Thank you and have a happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
