Are you passionate about supporting some of Bristol’s most vulnerable women to make positive changes in their lives?
If you are a well organised and pro-active team worker with great interpersonal skills that will enable you to establish and maintain good working relationships with our service users, staff and volunteers, you could be one of our Peony Support Workers.
Peony offers a safe and welcoming space where women who have experienced multiple disadvantages can find positive community, manage the impact of adverse life experiences, and get excited about their future. We do this by offering a programme of therapeutic and meaningful activities, specialised group work, and 1-1 support. Ultimately, we hope to support women to thrive and become emotionally and financially independent. This is central to One25’s vision to see marginalised women move from crisis to community.
The programme is staffed by a team of fantastic workshop facilitators and volunteers (some with lived experience of these issues) as well as a manager, coordinator and two support workers. We are exciting to be extending the project to five days and would like to find someone new to join our team. Reporting to the Peony Manager you will work collaboratively with the rest of the Peony team to support the practical organisation of Peony as well as its continued development. You will be managing a caseload of woman supporting them to set goals for their future. You will also be involved in developing and delivering group work programmes.
It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for this post are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS check will be required.
Hours: 5 days per week, 10.00-18.00 (including 30 minute unpaid lunch break). May also include occasional commitments outside these hours for which Time off in Lieu will be given.
Salary: £26,137.50 per year
