On Friday 4 October ditch your duvet and swap your comfort for concrete. Sleep out for one night and raise money to help the city’s most marginalised women.
Over half the women we support face homelessness. By giving up your time and luxuries for one night you’re highlighting the reality of their daily struggle whilst doing something to help them.
When: 10pm Friday 4 October – 7am Saturday 5 October
Where: Saint Stephen’s City Church, 21 St Stephen’s Street, Bristol, BS1 1EQ
Who: Anyone aged 18 or above, or 14 or over if attending with a parent/guardian or adult with the parent / guardian’s written consent.
It’s free and easy to sign up. We ask you to raise what you can and spread awareness of the disadvantages these women face. With passion and drive, we know you can make the most of this opportunity!
Feel uncomfortable asking people for donations? Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of ideas that will build your confidence and make it much easier (and enjoyable) than you ever imagined! Make the most of your Sleep Out challenge by following our top tips to fundraising success here.
Homelessness is not always visible. Especially for women who you may never see sleeping on the streets and who you are unlikely to find in night shelters. Their homelessness is restless. It can involve night after night of not stopping, constant moving, jumping into car to house, to car to house, to just keeping going. By taking part in Sleepout 2024, you can help these women leave the dark streets behind.
