Office Support Manager (female, full time)

“Working at One25 alongside an incredibly passionate and dedicated team of staff and volunteers inspires me. It really increases my motivation to support women to lead fulfilled lives and to help end violence against women and girls’’ (One25 manager)

Are you a strong and inspirational leader with proven experience in managing office services, resources and people across an organisation to provide a professional service? Do you have good organisational, planning and physical resourcing ability which you want to use to support One25 to offer quality services to support the staff and some of Bristol’s most marginalised women? Do you have the experience to support a team to offer quality support services including first point of contact, IT, admin and to support our events, along with an interest in supporting us to plan new services to meet an ambitious business plan?

One25 is a highly respected, Bristol-wide charity for women moving from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. Our team of committed staff take a person-centred approach to offer a range of services: van outreach, drop in and casework services support for women involved in street sex work. Our Pause programme supports women who have had children removed from their care and Peony supports women to take positive steps forward in their recovery from trauma. As One25’s Office Support Manager, you will join a dynamic and passionate staff team and a Senior Management Team (SMT) who have clear ambitions for One25 and the progress of the women. Do you have the skills, dedication and drive to join us as we change and grow?

You would need to:

  • Be committed to providing high quality services to visitors, staff, the board and volunteers.
  • Work alongside the SMT, thinking strategically to support internal services to staff which support them to do their work effectively and managing the physical space.
  • Have experience of managing a team, offering a warm welcome and day-to-day admin support of staff, overseeing an effective IT system which meets their needs.
  • Have experience of managing the physical resourcing of the organisation, ensuring the buildings we inhabit are good places to work for our growing projects and teams.
  • Report to the board quarterly, presenting financial information clearly, outlining risks and anticipating fundraising needs and challenges.
  • Think creatively, work well under pressure and analyse complex information.
  • Share our values and our commitment to supporting some of Bristol’s most vulnerable women to make positive changes, through quality programme provision.
  • Along with the Finance Manager, support the production of our impact statistics. through data analysis, working alongside the SMT to support funders’ reports.
  • Learn quickly and support new ventures through scoping new projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning and changing charity in a senior role within One25. The post-holder will have management experience, experience of working in the sector and/or with a complex client group in a similar role and they will have wide ranging responsibilities for the performance and the development of One25. They will be strongly supported in their work. The post is managed by the CEO.

The Office Support Manager role is being restructured from the former role of Finance and Resources Manager, creating two roles, a Finance role and an Office Manager role. This is in line with One25’s growth over the last few years and supports capacity for ongoing growth. We hope there will be a handover with the current post holder to support induction.

It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for this post are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required

We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, as these groups are underrepresented in our workforce.
