Peony is One25’s move-on service, offering a three-day programme of therapeutic and meaningful activity for women who have faced multiple disadvantage and complex trauma.
Group work activity is one of the key offers at Peony. We are keen to work alongside someone to develop a six-week women’s only drug & alcohol group based at Peony. This group will be a pilot with the potential for ongoing sessions.
The aim of this group is to support a group of women who are at different stages of recovery to explore and discuss their drug use and/or recovery, including understanding potential triggers, barriers to recovery, and learn practical self-help tools.
We are looking for an experienced drug & alcohol group work facilitator to develop these sessions alongside the Peony team and take the lead in facilitating sessions, with support from a Peony staff member and peer volunteer. The delivery time will be 1 hour and 15 minutes, and we will account for 1 hour of planning each week.
It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for this post are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, as these groups are underrepresented in our workforce.
