We learn from the poor and the poor in spirit as we come alongside them. Those who have freely received have a wonderful opportunity to freely give (Matthew 10:8). One25 offers a unique opportunity to live out your faith as you serve our city’s poorest and most vulnerable individuals.
Prayer is one of our most powerful weapons in the battle against oppression and abuse. We believe God hears and responds when we pray and we’d love for you to join us.
Please join our ‘Vision for the Vulnerable’ prayer meetings in collaboration with three other organisations in Bristol who also support vulnerable women; Beloved, Unseen and Spring of Hope.
Vision for Vulnerable is an event that aims to bring together people who have a heart to serve and love the vulnerable in the city of Bristol. It is a time for those who are on the front line working with the vulnerable to share what has been going on in their field of work, to encourage one another of the breakthroughs we are seeing and to come together in prayer.
Our vision is not only to gather together and pray but to empower one another to know the best and most appropriate ways of supporting the vulnerable on a daily basis. We would love to invite you to join us as we pursue God’s heart and support the incredible work that is going on in our city for 2019.
With coffee from 7.00pm and prayer from 7.30pm to 9.15pm, the dates for our 2020 meetings are:
St Paul’s Church, 2 Southville Road, BS3 1 DG
Woodlands Church, Woodland Road, BS8 2AA
Horfield Methodist Church, 1 Churchways Avenue, BS7 8SN
Christ Church Clifton, Clifton Down Road, BS8 3BN
Be a One25 link and promote our work within your church. Share our news by speaking upfront in services, putting an item in your church newsletter, flyers on your noticeboard, posts on your facebook wall etc. Ask to host a One25 stand at church events, and encourage people to pray for us, become volunteers and supporters. Email Lu for more info.
Book a speaker for your church service or church groups by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteer with us on the night outreach van, the all-night drop in, the afternoon drop-in or in the office supporting our admin and fundraising staff.
Whether you have a lot or a little, be a part of our work and donate. Give what you can to help more women step away from the streets and build new lives.
You could also donate goods such as clothing, warm accessories and home-made cakes. Why not organise a collection at your church as a one-off or on a regular basis?
